Yes I got it locally, used it this past weekend to charge up the Mugen and it worked beautifully... I see no reset either.

OK, did you try cutting the power to it and turning it back on? These electronics devices freak out sometimes and most of the time it is the power supply that does it.

Ok, so I shouldn't have a problem getting a new one. But what happened to this one? How am I going to stop it from happening again?

Hey, these things just happen. It probably wasn't anything that "happened" or anything that you did. IIRC, that charger comes with its own power supply. It was probably just a bad unit.
