? about the hyperion eos 5i dp & lba 6 balancer - 05.11.2007, 06:27 PM

I just got my lipo's ,charger & lba 6 balancer i think i may have bought the wrong charger. i have two 2s2p packs or (4s) in series. Some one is making me a y cable so i can charge & balance them with what i have. Is anyone else using the same charger & balancer to charge two 2s2p packs, if so what are your results ?.

The EOS 5i will do up to 5s lipo, so the cell count is just fine. I've used the 7i (capable of 5s but 7A) and LBA10 and it works fine. Charging two 2s2p packs in series is the same thing as charging one 4s pack. You just have to make sure the Y charge and balance adaptors are made right.

He probably wants to simply avoid any liability from a user hooking up the packs wrong. If you look at it from a cell perspective, there is no difference between four 1s packs in series, two 2s packs in series, etc. The connections are the same, just externally made when you have two seperate packs.
