I am very glad to hear this news. Now I just have to finish selling my other useless parts and stuff I don't need...

Well it seems by Tekin uping the ante with there monster esc has made a race who will get there's out first? I dont know what is happening at Castle but it seems since Shawn Palmer left I have seen more complants about customer service? Not only here but on other forums also. :(

Come on Castle get your s--t together and get the Monster Max out you have been sitting on it for a year waiting for a motor when most of the people are waiting for the ESC and dont want the motor they already have Neu's and LMT's we just want a reliable ESC to run in our 1/8th scale conversions.:032:

To those who read the Tekin thread in the brushless section, Doesn't both new esc's sound similar? I mean 20 cells and 20 amps, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but they look similar on paper

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Had been under a rock and thought the Castle was the only game in town for a Monster modern ESC...when is the Tekin supposed to become real?

I think if Castle Creations is going to release a HV version of the Monster Max( and I honestly hope they'll do).....well..you know how Tekin is going to react.

OK,

I guess it's time to lock down the hardware design and release it.

LOL. There goes CC getting everyones hopes up again. I wanna believe it so badly but IDK. All talk and no MonsterMax. I really like castles speed controllers but I'm too the point now where I'd take anything good that can support 6s LiPo and has a built in LVC. I just don't understand why castle doesn't give us the ESC and release the motor when it's ready. Are they really afraid they'll lose a bunch of motor sales? Seem to me it would be better to be selling something rather then nothing at all.

I assure you, those who want to use the high end motors will never ever need a MonsterMax with a motor form CC.
It is the controller which we are focusing our eyes on.

I agree on that one captain. I don't want to motor. I want the esc myself.

Peace!

I'm just trying to gleen knowledge here fellas, I have no opinion one way or the other, but....

Why not give the MMM motor a shot? Is your opinion based on experience with the MM motors in the recommended applications?

Like I said, I'm just trying to swell the brain a little. I'm a noob to RC and a really new to high end electrics, but I'm very interested in building more electric RCs after putting my Revo together and seeing how well it performs on what I believe is a fairly entry level, mild set up. So if you don't mind, could you fill me in a little? :032:

Thanks

Well, in the case with the MM, the CC motors are a higher kv rating, and most like to push the esc more than 3s or so, so a lower kv is preferred. The KV on the CC is just too high to be running 4s 5s lipo in some cases.
So, with that said, the MMM will MOST likely be a high, so to run a higher voltage system, a lower kv will be in order which is why most will get just the esc. Correct me if I'm wrong here guys.

Because the word on the street is that the ESC is done and they are DELAYING it's release pending getting a motor to go with it. Since most guys already have the motor (or can get one from any number of companies with currently shipping options) releasing the ESC alone is desirable.

The guys that only want the ESC already have their motors Cajun. If you need both it will probably be a nice kit, like the MM5700 and 7700 stadium turcks and 1/10 buggys.

But if you already have a Neu, Lehner or the like then why get a new motor?

And if the rumors are correct . . . CC may be using the Neu motors with their systems. That would mean lower KV's and therefore a pretty good option if you don't have a motor already. I guess we'll find out when they're released next year though. :005:

I have motors sitting around collecting dust.
It does seem I could use a new motor now since I just fried one.

Peace!
