i have a bk 9920 esc and i plan on running 14-16 cells with a 7xl motor does that sound good what pros and cons would there be about this setup

so should i run an 8xl will the esc be ok people have been telling me i should run an 8xl on 16 cells

8XL on 16 cells would run the motor up to 40k rpm, which is a bit high.

If running 14 cells, 8XL would be good. For 16 cells, I'd say 9XL or 10XL.

The idea is not to run the motor too fast, but to run it at the ideal rpm and gear up for the speed you want, within reason of course.

Also; a lower KV motor of the same series has got more torque. (which gives you more room for gearing)

so i think ill run 8xl with 14 cells and maybe gear a little higher for higher speed sound good
