I guess its my turn -
06.08.2007, 03:29 AM
I am starting a E-jato and am going to try something different, I got a revo motorplate and will try to modify it to my needs. I have Emailed Mike for a modified lower plate so i can drill and tap my own holes for the chassis. I have measured it up using the biggest spur and pinion i got and i can solid mount the motor plate and use the motor screws to adjust gearing. I am waiting on batteries in my camera to charge up and its 3:26AM here so i'll post pics sometime tomorrow. If i can get a bigger motorplate from mike, It will work great. I will be using the new traxxas 48P wrap-around gears
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Just a hint: Keep all the weight you can towards the rear or you'll have issues hooking-up. Unless of course you like spinning out all the time. :)

Care to share what that plan is?
I thought about installing the ESC and/or radio in the back battery box, but didn't really want anything that exposed if (more like "when") I land wrong...

I'm going to put a battery box on it, and use lead weights for ballast. Besides i think the raised motor will help with weight transfer
