Fan/ On off switch Idea - 09.10.2007, 04:34 PM

I dont know if this would work or not

But my LRP sphere TC esc has a place where you solder the fan wires too, and its becomes apart of the on/off switch circuit (not literally with to where the switch is) But when you flip the switch, it turns on

I took the fan off and ran it, but the speed went from never getting over 80 deg (has a internal temp feature) to running at 160, so I soldered the fan on the pos/neg wire right on the speedo

Problem is, is that I hard wire my batts, so I have to wait right up till im ready to race, and then solder on to have max power

Can I just solder my fan wires to the on off switch no issues? Or no?

A switch for the fan is not going to hurt anything. Although, I would get a sealed type so that dirt and debris won't stop it from working at some point.

No, I mean splicing the on/off switch and using one switch with the fan, and the on/off wires all in one

I dont really want to have the room for 2 switches
