ive had my bl revo for about 2 months now and ive very pleased with it.. but i like running it for as long as the pack last but my motor tends to get kinda hot (140) i have the mm on lowest timing settings and my gearing is 18,38 locked in 2nd.. is thier anyway to cool it better?? i have the rc monster heatsink and im looking for some good heat transfer paste hopefull this will help with the heat...

140*F really isn't all that bad TBH. The XL motors will get kinda hot no matter what you do simply because they aren't as efficient as the higher-end motors.

Even though a hot motor/cool ESC usually means undergeared, you could try gearing down a tad and see if that helps.

I've just gone with a couple of 25mm fans screwed into the HS to help... Self tapping wood screws actually did the job...

They are 12v - 5v might be easier and then you can run off of the RX...

The only trouble with using 5/6v fans is that they tend to require more current than their 12v counterparts (assuming same size and airflow ratings). Not a big deal unless your BEC/UBEC is already stressed supplying power to high power servo(s).
