That thing was ripping on the track. Should be a big competitor to the other big company 1/8 buggies.

I had my RC8 done for the IHobby show - had it parked at the Maxamps booth on Saturday. I have a couple pictures, compliments of jhautz - set up for onroad racing at the time. :)

1940/7 hi-amp if you must know. I have had the motor on a few trucks over the years and it seemed to fit the buggy quite well. :)

Oh, and the buggy kicks tail - though I broke a rod end at the track in MO last week. :(

In case you dont know king headz already makes a aluminum FR plate for the rc 8. I've heard of people snapping that part.

Mikes RC8 is really sweet. Just about as clean of a conversion as they get. I don't think AE could have done it better. Fast and it handles great. Saw it running when he was in Chicago for iHobby.

(BTW Mike, Did you ever get that pinion set screw sorted out?) I was glad to see that even the master builders run into the dreaded pinion set screw problems once in a while.

EDIT: Links to bigger versions of mikes pictures below.

Also that paint jog Dafni did was absolutely wicked. It literally looked like it was glowing. I wish I could paint like that.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

That thing is incredible. Don't know whether it was the driver or the car but that thing hauls. My guess is it was more the driver though. That track was pretty sweet too.

Wow, very cool! I'm glad the body (and the conversion for that matter) made it in time for the show. Nice to see one of my bodies at such a big show, awesome. I wish I could have been there too.

Great looking buggy. Might have to pick one of those up for next year and replace my losi.
