new setup - 10.23.2007, 03:03 AM

i finaly got a new hook up at a hobby shop that hey said they would give me there cost on anything i need.

but they dont have any of the motors i want to use. so i was thinking of going with a different set up

novak hv 4.5 brushless
3cell 5000mah flightpower lipo

this would be going on a revo 3.3 using the stock tranny and stuff.

might have to put a few fans to cool it down cause the speed calculator said it would over heat cause

Your hobby shop doesn't carry Castle Creations? Thats strange. If the hobby shop has a 3s TP lipo, can they special order a 4s TP lipo...?

The Novak system would work in a Revo, but running the Mamba Max ESC on 4s would be much better. You cna buy the ESC and battery from your hobby shop and then the UBEC and motor (Feigao 8xl or 9xl) from the RC-Monster store.

This set up will be far better than a Novak brushless system.

the hvmaxx would work, but run it on 4s

be careful though, the hvmaxx is sensitive to over gearing (blows up rather easy)

i would gear 12-14 / 40 with the 4.5, i geared mine @ 15/40 and temps were fair so lower would be good , as well as making it lighter weight
