MIP CVD Coupling Rebuild Kit - 08.07.2005, 12:35 AM

I need a new coupling for my Maxx. It appears that MIP (http://www.miponline.com/catalog.html) has a generic kit for the Savage, Maxx, Monster GT, and the LST. Here's the generic kits' line item info;

#1147 CVD Coupling Rebuild Kit for Monster Trucks

Is this the one I need for my Maxx -> http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFCC1&P=7

Sorry, wouldn't normally link to another web site but I don't believe Mike stocks the rebuild kit.

thx!

The MIP1147 you mentioned is for the Savage (perhaps it will fit, i don't know..)

But the kit you need to have is the MIP1493 (that's the one RcBro mentioned)

thx!

1493 has the screws and pins while 1147 has the couplers and pins. I need the coupler, the screws, and the pins...so guess I need both. :-)

I went to MIP and the MAXX CVD parts listing has the same number as the savage repair kit. So I assume there interchangeable.

Thought I'd fill in the results.

I ordered this from that other place (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFCC1&P=7) which is part number 1147 from MIP. The package arrived w/ that part number but the description on the bag was "1/8 rebuild kit" (or something to that effect). At MIP (http://www.miponline.com/catalog.html) part number 1147 is typically referred to in different fashions but they seem to contain "monster truck coupling rebuild kit. "

In summary, I believe as long as you're ordering MIP part number 1147 you should be fine. :D
