My RC-MONSTER ext chassis pics - 11.05.2007, 10:46 PM

here is what i had waiting for me when i got home!

over all new chassis length

the battery hold down didnt fit my 5k 3s maxamps the top strap , which is so beautiful is about 1" to short, and my pack would have hung over the edge,so for now i am using the battery hold down i had on the first version

cant wait to try it out, still need a 1/10 body and 2.2 tires, thanks RC-MONSTER Mike and BP-REVO this chassis is sweet!

This is truely amazing!

However, I think Mike should make some wider lower and upper arms for the CRT.5 to make it a real 1/10 scaled truggy.

Wheather aluminum or plastic, it does not matter.

Mike, any plans on wider A Arms?

Looks great!! Is there an extra hole to put the pin sticking up that the longer aluminum strap goes on?

I hope you like it. I haven't driven a stock lengthed CRT.5, but I imagine that this one is much more stable.

As for Mike making you a longer strap, I'm not surprised at all - he is the man for sure.

I hope he makes a few extra. I'd like to run full length RC batts.

What top are you going to run on the extended chassis?

jnev : the chassis has multiple locations for the posts(look at first pic), i just needed to let mike know what the new length would be

bp-revo : it was a little squirly with the short chassis so this will be a great improvement, plus it will jump better

as for the body ..... i was thinking about a proline desert rat for the rustler, but i will probably just get what ever the lhs has on hand .... it looks as if they will all mount up pretty easy

Pretty much any 1/10 truck body should mount up ok. The Jato body was actually a bit long, but Jato uses bodies about 3/4 inch longer than the average 1/10 ST.

I think Mike recommends using off-set rims to add the extra width needed to get the correct proportions. Its good of him to make a longer battery hold-down, though those 3s batteries are rather huge even for the extended crt.5- not short on go-juice I imagine.....

What pinion and spur are you using? (As in what brand and what pitch etc.)

Mike told me a while ago that the extended arms for the CRT.5 are in his planning list.

That sounds great, IMO!!!
