How many side by side Ni-mh cells can the FLM Ext. Chassis hold flat?

8 on each side.

And you could hang 8 on the bottom too.

I'm going to be running 2 8 cell pacs to initially get all the bugs worked out, then buy some lipos....and a new charger and a new balancer. 32 cells would be insane (38.4v) not to mention HEAVY!

If you run cells - put something between the cells and the batts to cushion/protect them, otherwise they'll get beaten up.

Very true. I almost destroyed a matched 7 cell pack. I used an old mouse pad cut to size and glued.
