What are some of the tire options for the Revo?

I'm looking for one's that are lighter than stock. I would like to even consider some shorter tire/wheel combinations for both offroad/street use.

Using a slightly shorter tire/wheel, effectively lowers the gear ratio and makes it accerate faster.

Are there any that are about 5" tall that will fit?

check out the panther komodo tires, they are considerably shorter than the stockers, and use a 3.2" rim.

I have the conversion kit for the HPI Phaltline/Tremer setup. So either stock or 17mm will work. They are 5.5" tall.

The Komodo's do look pretty good. How tall are they and how bad do they swell at high speeds?

I plan on putting some serious spin on whatever I settle on.

Don't get Komodoes if your even thinking of going near the street. They'll be bald in no time. Get something like a Crime Fighter LPR.

I've the proline Badlands MT on Ofna 17mm half offset, that's a great setup for racing and bashing

I've been looking at the Proline Badlands. They are the same height as a stock Revo Tire, but are a little narrower. How much does each wheel/tire weigh? There's bound to be some weight savings there.

I know the stock Revo tires are really bad about swelling and I think the sidewalls are pretty relaxed. How do the Badlands fare in this?

a complete set of badlands and dish wheels weighs about 2lbs.

When my Sportraxx on Velos with Trinity Foams wear out, I'm going to badlands on Velos with some similar foams. I've actually been tryin to wear them out faster lately, haha.

From what I hear, the only downside to badlands is the massive ballooning, so if you are looking to avoid it, then badlands aren't going to be a great choice.

I'd get the LPR wheels from Pro-Line. They are 3.8" rims, so they should cut down on ballooning quite a bit, as the sidewall is significantly smaller.
