how would a feigao 8XL, mamba max ESC, and a A123 racing 13.2V 4s li-ion pack do? i think this would be somethign different from my lipo, and it cost significantly less with claims of more C ratings. 30 continuous...its only a 2300mAh so it probly wont last too long would it?

Just build a 4s2p pack, give you 4600mAh.

i dont know how to build a 4s2p pack... and they only sell them in 4s1p

If you're buying a 4s1p pack, then you can connect 2 in parallel. What vehicle are you putting this in? I've got a a MM, 8XL, and 4s2p A123 in my truggy, and it's currently geared for 40 mph.

If it's in a Revo (I'm guessing from your name), then you should be able to get a similar speed as long as you parallel the packs. If you use 4s1p, then the voltage drop under load will probably result in the loss of several mph.

it will be in a revo. i was looking at a MM, 8XL and 4s1p. will plugging two 4s1p packs in series not make it an 8s?

Two 4S1P in series will make it 8S, parallel will be 4S2P

Usually you would have a Y adapter on the ESC battery leads; positive to positive on Deans, negative of that Deans to the positive of another Deans with a small piece of wire, and then the negative to the negative on the second Deans, but instead just go positive-positive, negative negative. Its easier to do if you have just one Deans coming off the controller and then an adapter.
