im new here. im from spain and im looking to convert my jamming into electric.
which is the best esc to run on my truggy?
and what about the motor?

Sorry to ask but it really comes down to budget - The range is $220 for a Feigao 9XL, RCM Heastink, MambaMax and UBEC or $560 for a Nue and MGM160.

Batteries are probably close to $200 for 4s 5000mah lipos + charger.

first at all i wanna buy the RCm engine mount for the ofna truggy, then i will look for a nice esc, after that a brushless motor and at last the batterys.
Can you tell me your opinions about this esc?:
1. quark pro monster 125b
2.bk warrior 9920
3.bk 36120
At las I wanna know if a Novak HV High-Voltage Brushless System 6.5 will work good for this truggy and also if i will not have issues to install it on the enginemount of rcm. The novak is the cheapest way to go so im very interested to know his capabilitys.

the quark is a nice controller but has had some problems running 5s. it will probably overheat pretty easy.

i cant say much about the bks other than not TOO many people run them...

most people run quark on 4s or if they are going more than they they go with the mgm 16018.

currently i have a crt with a neu and mgm controller (neu is 2700kv) and 4s lipos. this setup is INSANE! its extremely fast and never overheats. i can go through both of my batteries (about 30 minutes of runtime) and the trucks temps are amazing.

i HIGHLY reccommend saving your money and getting a nice setup from the beginning. if you go with a feigao and a mm esc you will probably end up wanting a better more reliable setup later.

some have found that it is a nice setup but in my opinion if you have the money go with the better more expensive setup.

i had a hv 6.5 setup in my supermaxx and it was OK. i ran it with 16 cells nimh and the thing overheated very quickly. it had nice torque but it really wasnt all that fast. again... i would not reccomend this setup only because it is not the fastest on the block (the mm and 9xl will be faster)

so the mgm com pro 160 will be the best option as you recomended, but its very expensive, im thinking about get the mgm but i want to know about other posibilitys, the mamba max combo esc with 7700kv will be a good option? is really cheap just 220 dollars and the mgm 160 is like 275 dollars plus the brushless motor.
If the mamba max isn´t a good option my credit card will burn buying the mgm 160 heheheh but i think this is not like nitro engines that have a short life, so if i spend all this money will have motor and esc for a very long time, or im wrong?
thanx for all and sorry about my stupid newbie questions, just leave the nitro on the back and i know electric is the future, more reliable, les maintenance and more fun, good reason to spend my money on it.

this is a jammin crt 1/8 truggy correct? if so the 7700 kv motor will not work. it will burn it extremely quick with the weight of the truck.

it is more for a 1/10 rustler.

in my opinion i think you should go big in the beginning. i learned the hard way.

i converted my revo to brushless and got an 8xl and a MM esc. the setup ran extremely hot and was not all that fast. i ended up selling it all because it was not too cool.

i recently (2 days ago) got in my crt w/ the neu motor and mgm esc. this setup runs AMAZING with 4s. SOOOOO much faster and way more efficient than the 8xl. its nice not having to pay attention to heat issues. you wont really realize how big of a pain heat is untill you deal with it first hand

your wallet will burn up now but you will be happy in the end because if you go big right now it will be a setup that will last a very long time.

do it right in the beginning so you dont have to upgrade later.

t-maxxracer32 you are right, i agree with you, just want to know all the possibilitys, sorry about that but im new in electric cars and with my poor english is hard to make you know how i wanna say. But you did it, im going with the mgm160.
Thanx for all guys specially for you t-maxxracer32, you solved my question. Another question, where can i buy the mgm160 for a good price? in rcm they havent in stock?
and the last question, but just for today heheheh, is easy to program the mgm160, do i need a program box or a usb wire, if i do, the items necesary to program the mgm will come with the esc or do i have to buy it separate?

you do not need a usb to program the mgm. i honestly do not know how to do it because mine came ready to go, but the manual should explain it. they have a usb you can use though if you would like.
