You could build a pretty impressive BL Revo for that price
BL Revo: CF G2R, LMT1940/7, 6S FP 30C Lipos, MMM, Hitec 5955TG
CRT .5: 7075 Ext Chassis, LMT1930/7, FP 25C 3S Lipos, MM

I would also go for a brushless Revo or a Savage with a Neu Motor, MGM ESC and Polyquest Lipos. I would use a efficient HV-Setup with 8s -10s Lipo.

I would do an XT8, with a neu motor 5s 30c flightpower lipos, put some badlands and maximizer wheels on it, killer 400+oz servo. It would be a great basher.

You could also look into a Monster GT. I think the above choices would be great too, it just depends on what kind of bashing you're into. Does it call for extreme durability? Agility? Performance?

all of the above, tmaxxracer. i dont really want a mgt, too heavy. im liking the xt8 tho! i want to have it do ~50!!!! with crazy ass accel but not alot of wheelies. what gearing/motor/esc/batts should i look into? i want ~15-20 mins of runtime.

If i had the money to spend, I would wait for Fastlane to release the Savage brushless conversion, get the lst shock conversion, 3-speed w/mech brakes(easy 50mph) 6s-8s lipo with a good motor/controller combo and go jump the biggest thing i could find at top speed. oh eff yeah.

You should build me $1500 worth of brushless fun!
(supprised no one has considered this option yet :) LOL
I like the Direct Drive Revo Sikes is building... propably have a little $$$ left over for spare parts for the jumping, flipping, and general mayhem repairs.
If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I don't think it's going to matter what you get as long as you build it right. I personally would with an XT8, MGM (or MMM if it comes out soon), Neu, 6s, and some Badlands. I'm actually jealous of Tmaxxracer and all the other XT8 owners. Haha

Sent ya one back... LOL.. Usually when I have a basher truck, I get two rollers... and strip one down and use it for parts, just incase something breaks.. but with the LST and MGT I haven't broken too many parts... out of all the trucks I've had, the maxx broke the most parts.. but that's maybe because it had the most hours on it....
