Hyperion 1210i and LBA10 stopped co-operating - 12.26.2007, 08:13 PM

I've been using this combo to balance charge my lipos for a while now, so I'm confident that I'm doing it correctly. Anyway, here is the issue:

When I hook a lipo up (any lipo, I've tried 4 different) to either of my LBA10s (I have two)

-The LED for cell 1 will flash very quickly for 10 seconds
-lights go out for 3 seconds
-cell LEDs for 1 and 2 (for a 2s) or 1, 2, and 3 (for a 3s) will flash slowly together 26 times
-all the lights go out

The Cell Type LED flashes one time very briefly when I first plug in the tap before plugging in the battery leads.

I have tried different fuses, different batteries, different tap harnesses, and I have verified that it's set on "Master". Oh, it also happens regardless of whether it's hooked up to the charger. The charger will charge fine as long as the balancers are hooked up correctly. They both worked yesterday morning, and ceased working yesterday afternoon.

Any ideas?

check all your connections, it could be a weak colder joint,....i know I had a problem with one of mine, due to this, but since i fixed the solder joint, it's better.....by the way I use a LBA10 balancer with a MRC 989 charger...and i charge 2 (2s2p) in series so its see's 4s

I considered the solder joint also, but it's happening to two different systems at the same time with different batteries and different harnesses. All the experimenting should rule out one bad solder joint.

Thoughts?
