feigao? where can i get it? - 01.24.2008, 09:56 PM

where can i find a feigao motor? i was planning on running a 8l in my brushless revo but cannot find the motor anywhere... what would be a good yet inexpensive motor that i could get in place of the 8l if i cant find it? what if i went up to 4s and ran a velineon motor(has the specs of a brushed 550 motor so i guess it could be an L size only with 2 pole instead of the 4 that feigao has???) i already have the motor so could put money into a second 2s instead of into a motor. united hobbies doesnt have them in. and neither does mike...

What are you talking about? Feigaos are 2 pole, as with the Velineon you mentioned.

Nope, they're both two pole motors. Go with a XL, the L motors will heat up more (too much). L-size Feigao motors are already too short, the Velineon motor is shorter than a L motor.

3s? IMO, you should hold off on converting the Revo to get a higher voltage ESC (like a Mamba Max) and a XL motor. 3s won't be enough to get decent performance, or at least not more than maybe 30mph.

im only looking to get 30-35. i want to be able to get there fast though. wheelies at any speed. i run mostly in tight places and on a tight track so i never get up to speed anyways with my 3.3 and i have a 16/38 gearing with a close ratio. and in a short period im going to switch to a mamba max and twim 2s packs. just cant afford it right now... teknos prototype used a neu rated for 2600 kv on a maxamps 5000 3s and a mamba max and said they were getting around 35mph. and all the videos it looks quick and like it launches hard.
