How about the TME Xtrema?

I am using A123 cells right now and they are great. Bought 2 dewalt 36v pack for $140 off ebay. You can make 2 18v pack out of that.

Hyperion is one of the do all chargers, but I do believe the best one out there at the moment would be the MRC 989.

the list you had on post 13 is fine. I'd also go with the flightpower 30C 4500mah like nativepaul suggested.

But I am also partial to those venom 1500 packs too. those thing pack some mean punch. But Linc, you forgot the platinum standard. Nothing beats using a pair of Duracell 9v alkaline batteries. Dude, 18v... and think of the weight you're saving.... game over.

I do not have good enough equipment to hold up to the duracell 9v. I once tried some dollar store 9v batts and blew up my tranny and toasted a motor, the windings just melted from the raw power. The performace was spectacular while it lasted. From what I have heard schultze is the only esc that can handle that knid of power.

Way to much power with the 380 motor, it will tear that grasshoper apart. I usually save the 380 brushed motors for my 1/5 scale builds, even then I am constantly changing diffs!

one time i hooked 2 car batteries into my stock EVX for 24v, worked like a charm. with a 30+ pound car with stock titans i think i was reaching speeds in excess of 70mph!!

just recently as well i made a v-tri, three velineon motors, each running on a 12s pack. Wasn't too happy with the performance though, topped out at around 10 mph, also wrecked my new custom painted bodyshell when my truck burst into flames



but seriously... if the MMM is rated up to 6s, is it wise to be running 6s, will it shorten the life of the ESC and motor? Should i back it down to 5s?

another thing, i was wondering what the runtimes of the 4500mah batteries compared to the 5000mah batteries are, would there be much difference?

what runtimes do you think i am looking at for each?

well there's 10% difference in capacity but with the 30C battery giving higher voltage under load you may find yourself using more throttle control or breaking traction and unloading more and seeing similar or maybe even longer run times.
