Which motor would be the better choice for a Sidewinder in a CRT.5 the 4600 or 5700. I just want to buy the combo for playing around in the street and at the park, just not sure which motor. Pinion gear too, not sure on that, just looking for some speed and to be able to bash around on a desert like terrain.

Thanks.

What battery will you be using? The 4600 should be ok with 3s lipos, but the 5700 would be better for 2s lipos.

You could go with the 5700, but if you ever want to go 3s, I would get the 4600. 4600 is more efficient. You could gear the 4600 up a bit too.

Just got my Sidewinder 5700 combo. In Castle's manual and on the sticker on the motor it says 3S Lipo max. Guess it can handle 3S LiPo's.?

The motor can handle 3s lipos, but the Sidewinder is not designed to handle a 5700 on 3s. The current draw will be too much.

I think the sidewinder can handle 3s, I would make sure to use a bec though just in case. Take for example the MM esc, can take more than specified.
