Are these lipos correct for this my set-up?

Hello,
i am interested in these lipos to run in my truggy.

i will run two of these in series for a 6s set-up (saddlepack style)

i am running a crt with the hot bodies ring and pinions, a neu 1515 / 2D (2050 kv), MMM when it comes out, 51t spur. do these batteries have the proper amp draw for my racing needs (90A cont./120A for 5s every 30s)

That's a helluva lot of motor to be run on 6S. Given that my 8XL (~1850kv) ran more than 120A peaks on 4S, that motor has to draw at least as much if not more (unless way undergeared.) IDK how underrated those batts are, but that could be stressing them. You are looking at a crazy ass fast truck, like ~60mph theoretically if that kv is right. Are you sure that'd what you want?

Also, 1100g of battery is a heavy. I thikn you could find something quite a bit lighter. You're looking at a flying brick basically IMO.

I was planning on only running 75%full power any way. also isn't running on a higher voltage lowers the amp draw, wouldn't these lower the amp draw enough with the reduced power setting? what would you recommend as an alternate lipo?

Higher voltage only helps if you gear down as the voltage goes up to keep the speed the same as where you started.

Yeah, really the motor is going to draw about the same amps given the same load despite the voltage (within a reasonable range.) However the inc. in voltage makes much more power. You can try and under gear the motor some, but there are limits to that, and if too under geared you will lose eff there. Besides, why carry around all that extra weight if its not being put to use?

The better way is just to match the motor to the voltage and gear properly. If that kv is correct (I assume it is) then it would be well matched to a 5s batt. What exactly to get depends on your use, but a 5S ~5Ah batt would give great power and good runtime. If you want more runtime or cheaper batts (ie lower C) then go up on Mah. Less weight and sacrifice some runtime get ~25C 4Ah batts. I would get something that could do 110-120A bursts and maybe 75A cont at least. Hopefully you can get something in the 600g range (as low as 450g for hi-C batts, and no more than 800g or so for cheapies.)
