I have emailed Grisa @ MGM to find out for sure if we will need the new CC_03 cable to update the 3.20 version speed controls. I will post his response as soon as he replies.

You donīt have to wait for the reply. My information is correct and you will need the new cable. That is the reason why I post this information here in the forum. It will be easy for you to order this cable so they can send you the updated esc AND the cable...

Here is what Grisa from MGM had to say about the CC_03 cable.

"programming is make always via CC_02 cable. Only for update SW is necessary CC_03 cable.

Best regards,
Grisa"

Topas you are indeed correct.

Today I received my mgm 22418 car esc. (I bought a new one) This one was shipped with sw V 3.21 .

Due to bad weather conditions I could try it in my new emaxx (motor : kontronik fun 600-25) for only 20 minutes or so. (at 16,8 V)

At first I had some problems in setting up the esc (setting max. break and max throttle + I didnīt know if I should enable freewheel).
Furthermore I noticed some breaking problems with the default car setting. I drove the emaxx with medium speed and tried to stop (max break) but the car increased the speed and was stopped by the front wheel of my car ...! After changing the deceleration value to very hard1 2,3s the problem was gone.

I have to install my eagletree logger to support my feeling that the motor runs hotter on the mgm as on the kontronik jazz 80 but there was no cogging and the motor ran very smooth.

I might be having a simular issue with my MGM 16024. It goes forward, but when I hit the brake it still goes forward and then it brakes. If I continue to hold the brake the car would continue to go forward. Is this the problem you had?

TBH that is the only setting that I'm still having trouble understanding. How hard is you brakes now? Did you set the hardness of the brake separate from the deceleration? I'll try what you did, but I'm lost on that setting and I thought I had the programming done right.

This is the way I cured the problem too. (I set the brake to very hard1)

I will inform mgm about that issue - I am sure they will fix it fast !
