Nice. Not sure about the gearing but I'd change out those stick packs to at least some SXS or even better LiPo.

The plan is to get some lipo packs soon. I wanted to get a rough weight on the truck with the nimh cells in.

One other question is that the Feigao 7xl i have dosent have a flat spot on the motor shaft. I was wondering what the normal procedure is to make a spot or if there is something else i should do?

I used a dremel diamond cutting disk mounted on a drill, the flat spot is pretty uneven but it works for me.

With those nimh packs, I would say to use a 15t pinion, which will give you around 35mph. Much more and the batteries will not be able to keep up.

With good lipos, you could go up to a 17t, and do 40mph or so.

What are using for the ESC mount hanging off the motor plate? Is that home-grown or something commercial?

Looks good ;)

Its homegrown, i leveled it out, but its mearly a peice of right angle aluminum and a small sheet attached to that. The only problem im facing is the gearcover. Im running a strobe slipper and the screws that are holding gear are rubbing on the stock cover. Im not worried so much about the gear but more of my wire getting tangled and cut. Any suggestions?

I run a strobe too. I cut the screws flush with the gear once mounted. No need for all that excess screw thread hanging off the end of the spur. Not to mention it saves you (albeit a small) amount of rotational mass.

I have the screws in the oppisite direction with the head showing on the side i can get to. I think what im going to do is use some standoffs that are metric thread in the trans mount.

Ok i fabbed something temp for the gear cover i couldnt wait to get this thing out! I wasnt expecting the amount of torque it has and the unreal top speed. When i first set it on the ground and took off it backfliped and ripped the revo wing i mounnted on the body right off! not a big deal but i wasnt expecting it at all!

Wiring is a bit of a mess, need to clean that up. I ended up ripping off the front bumper in the process of running also as i ran into the mailbox!

Reguardless this thing is AWSOME! and i want more now. Any suggestions on settings for the mamba to reduce the instant torque?

Increase punch control for sure, perhaps lower timing too if thats not already as low as it can go.

don't worry about the flat spot, I have never had a pinion slip off of the shaft due to the lack of a flat.
