Or just watch it in a DVD player on television. I assure you its NOIT the dvd to fault here!

Matt.
Negative. WMP11 plays every other DVD I've tried just fine. Windows provides the ability to play DVDs without having to buy or use other software.

This disc also doesn't work in two of my regular stand-alone DVD players, one of which is a brand new Panasonic.

The only way I've got your DVD to work so far is on one of my desktop computers using VLC Media Player. The rest say that the disc is not compatible.

With that said, I love the DVD now that I've got it working on one of my computers!

Do you know which codec I need to download?

Thanks.
you can't play DVDs in windows without a dvd decrypter codec. Which you only get when you install a DVD player like powerdvd.

Just watch it on the tv as it was meant to be.

Btw will a hd version ever be released for computer playback?

... and yet I can play 4 other production DVDs that I've thrown in the exact same newly formatted machine.

I already mentioned that it also doesn't work in either of two stand-alone (attached to TV) DVD players that are both less than 3 months old.

I'm not trying to dog the product, but there is obviously an issue with it if it doesn't work in two different new DVD players as well as a brand new laptop that can play every other DVD I throw at it.

Something like this product should allow you to play the DVD on any computer from a different region.

I haven't tested this myself but I hear from other people that it works.

I have enjoyed it very much. It's a very well put-together video.

It's definitely not me or my equipment. I'm actually big into video-editing myself, and I own really nice video editing equipment and possess the skill and experience to use it properly. (In other words, I'm not your average ignoramous that's just putting the disc in upside-down.)

I've tried it in a 3rd stand-alone and it is still coming up as incompatible.

That's 5 total DVD systems that play everything I put in them except for this disc.

In other words, it's the disc. It's probably just a bad copy. Bad copies happen in mass production. I'll probably just rip it to my hdd and re-burn it to DVD.

No worries though. I've found the right software to get it to work, so I'm happy with my purchase.

Shame that went wrong for you bud, as it's an awesome DVD to watch on a 42" TV. People may say "why not just watch videos on the internet for free?" But nothing compares to full DVD quality action on a massive telly.
