Why won't the MM work ? With the new firmware it should do ok ? No ? At any rate, I think a lot of people have used that Jazz with good results.

MM wont engage when I plug in 5S batt. to it. when i plug in 3S then its ok. I heard, I could be wrong, but the new MM wont work w/ 5S or will burn up.. not really worth it for me. thanks.

Try this... I was talking to Mike about this and he mentioned that it worked for him, but I dont have a new MM to try it with. Mine are all the older ones.

plug the MM into the usb and from the computer choose the option to resore or reset the factory settings. The unplug it from the usb and plug it in to the battery. It should work on 5s, but there is not LVC set yet. Once you have gotten it to turn on, shut it all down again and then plug it back into the usb and program it with the computer to have a 15v cut off voltage. then try it again. He said that it worked for him and his will run on 5s now. I have been wanting someone to try it, cuz if it works I will probably buy another MM, but I only want one if it will work on 5s.

If you can test this and see if it works I would apreciate it.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Hope you got tranny and diff parts. Unless you upgrade, you'll need them. That 2.5d will rip diffs out of the revo quick

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Just wait for the MMM. I know Kontronik's products are great, but for less $$$ you will get what it seems a better controller with lots of features.

MMM???? When is that coming out, like 2010? i heard about this like 2 yrs ago. I want to run my revo now, and couple of bucks is not worth waiting for 2 yr nor something that wont come out after all.. If the jazz works then i'll get it..

I had Nemesis 7xl motor prior to this w/ MM on 5S 4800 and it was freaken quick but did not damage anything.. maybe Neu, is a different animal..

I started with a MM/9xl combo, worked fine and no troubles. Went to a quark 125 with same 9xl, ripped the rear diff. Now have the new 1515/2.5d(1700kv) and same quark, so far i have the only busted pinion for Mikes 1/8 buggy revo conversion. Trust me, that motor is powerful. I didn't believe people on how strong it is, but the Neu is a whole new galaxy compared to a fegaio

Doesn’t the latest castle-link software only allow a max of 12v for cutoff (4s 14.8v)? I don’t see in the menu where you’d specify a 15v cutoff. Maybe if you totally disable the internal LVC and run an external one it may sync up. Easy way to try is to “disable” the LVC and plug in the 5s pack to see if it engages (obviously you cant run the 5s pack without LVC protection).

Yes you should be able to use the Jazz 80 without a problem on your setup. The Jazz controllers are really nice as I have one on my T-rex heli!
