Which NEU for LST2??? - 03.21.2008, 08:12 PM

Is the Neu 1515/1.5y enough for a 13lb. LST2 on 4S?

I'm running a XLT1 from Fine Design now on a MM, but wanna take the leap to a Neu motor. I only bash so is 4S ok for now. I don't mind going to 5S or 6S but I'll have to get a new ESC too. Preferably 6S, so an MGM but Mike is always out of those too. Any suggestions?

I noticed Mike has them in stock again so I wanna get a couple before they go again.

5s or 6s would be better in a heavy truck. I really like 6s with 2.5D in my 12 lb truck.

The 1521/1Y will make you have a silly smile on your face every time you run your truck. Mine with 6S is very fast. On 5S it will put any nitro down. I also tried it with 10S and the motor just transformed into a crazy out of control beast. Go with the 1521/1Y or you can try a 1521/1.5Y with 10S lipos.

Do you have a video of your truck running on 10s, Lutach?

I will wait until the weather warms up a bit and I will make some speed runs with the current gearing and I have to go buy extra internal diff gears, because on that run it destroyed them. I was alone the day I ran my truck with 10S and didn't make a video. The power from 5S is incredible, the power from 6S is insane, but with 10S it seemed to have increased 10 fold.

I only ran a little over 9 minutes and only used 1685mAh out of my 4600mAh packs. Here is the graph http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...0&postcount=90 and I've just noticed I made a typo on the mAh. My run ended early because of my internal diff gears gave away. Too much power.
