One man dream set up is anothers nightmare. If you works for you daf stick with it. Me I like to try different things. Some times it is better sometimes it is worse. Never know until you try. I just love power. :D

You got me wrong, coolhand. I am also all about progress and one-step-further. But I only just started, I don't even have a real radio yet.
You have to start somewhere. And I drool over the high-end motors too.

Miss understanding. to much power can be a nightmare for some. I don't have a highend radio. I just have a futaba. 119 for controller with reciever. I will say it is the better money spent. IMO
To much was a nightmare for me for a while. Every time I took truck out it would break. Motor had more power than truck could take. I fixed that. I love it now. Just want more. Not sure why.
NO HARD FEELINGS DANIEL YOU STILL MY BUDDY?
Peace!

No worries, mate. It takes more to destroy a friendship than just an exchange of opinions. We just share our views.
Missunderstandings are un-avoidable, especially in our fast typed posts.
Hey, you have the Futaba 3PM, then?? I'm considering this very radio for me. Would already be an upgrade for me ;)

Why yes i do. I like it. It made me a better driver. :D It just took some reading to figure out what all it does. It is not top of the line. It does what I want it to and then some.
Peace!

Well,
I have just read this topic and those motors are just sick!
Those 30-series, are not normal to put in your 1/10 truck, even the 22-series are extreme.
I will run my 9L on 14 cells, what a little baby it is then. Well it's light, probably fast (in my eyes) and it has much better control than beasts with 20 cells or more, that's alot of weight!
Well, who needs a set of ultramaxxed gears. I have one brand new in package with grease and idlers and might sell it for the right price.
pm me then...

Me too!
Respecting each other is what it is all about.
It would be a very bad thing when even we here, as likeminded RC fans, would get hard feelings towards each other, just because we exchange opinions.
We're grown men, after all :L: big boys with fast toys

Who's talking about 'not normal' what would you do if you don't get a kick from driving a 14 or 16 or 18 cell monster? Quite the hobby and stop having fun? 20 cells and up.. Yeah, it's some weight.. But who cares.. the motor loves the extra juice.. it's all about the speed the monster passes by..
Controll is all about the person who is behind the trigger.. And i am Stevie Wonder.. (makes a heck of a nice movie of the monster in action..)

10000 watts?
that's power to move a yacht of 5 tons, since I follow this projects.
So not normal in the way that it's extreme, do what you want to do in this hobby. Make it as crazy as you want or as you like!

Well, everyone has the freedom to do whatever they want as long as they dont hurt themselves nor the people around them.
Everyone, I'm starting to go nuts again and this time.....MWAHAHAHAH..:devil bolting a 2230/7 in my pooooor T4 and use 4:1 gear ratio with 16 cells. I....will....make it..daance.
Its all thanks to you and to your great thread about the 22 series, though it is for the big trucks, but not the poor things. HAHAHA:cool: , who cares.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!
