Best way to disable the brake on the MMM? -
05.13.2008, 12:12 AM
Quick question. What's the best way to disable the brake on the MMM. I want forward only with out brake and I only see the option to disable reverse. I can turn the brake amount down to 2% but i'm not sore if that's a good idea. If brake is going to be on at all 10% might be better.

Set it to foward, brake profile. Set the brake amount as low as possible. Then pull up the brake curve and make it flat to the bottom of the graph. That will eliminate the brakes.

I just thought it would be best too as the motor breaking is useless with a 2 speed auto tranny. I have set them to 10% and left them at that. I am using mechanical brakes. I took it for a run and OMG this thing has some bottom end power. I love brushless.

i havent messed with the brakes yet. but when i do anything more than blow on the trigger for the brakes, it tumbles down the road. annoying and i hate flipping my truck on the street. not worried about the body, just the guts ya know. i need to find out how to lower it by like 70%. heh

I changed it but now I need to change it back. MMM is no more. Another think I was impressed with on my truck was the brakes. They worked fantastic, perfect setup and the servo was just a little jr270. I suppose the mechanical brakes work a lot better when they don't have nitro oil all over them.

I know the Jr radio's can do it (XS3/Pro), not sure of others. you can run ch2 for esc and set brakes for 0%, then you set third (aux) channel to operate the brake servo with 0% throttle . I know it works, because i did it with a schumacher E-menace once
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

It's probably best to leave it the way it is. If you disable reverse on the transmitter programing the esc could prove difficult if you forget you changed it.

What happened to it? I was hoping to not find anything bad about it... Tell me you ran it on 8s or something.

Have a look in a few of the other MMM threads. There have been a bunch that have failed in an identical way. There isn't an answer yet on what the problem is but castle will fix it up. Seems to be something with the bec.
