Monster and Castle Link 3.05 - 05.27.2008, 08:43 AM

Has anyone else had a problem with Castle Link 3.05 and the Monster? The ESC worked great if I reset everything to factory default, but if I made any changes using 3.05 and updated the controller, the motor would not run. I updated to Castle Link 3.051 and everything works great now.

That was the reason for the update to 3.051.

Best thread I could find to ask the pros....... how do I use Castle Link to recognize one MM and also one MMM?

Pretty sure it can be done?

Not sure what you mean - the MMM uses the USB adapter and the MM does not.

Are you running Vista64 in which case I've found castlelink works with the MMM but not with the MM.

I have to dual boot to XP or use wifes machine...

Ok a buddy (who has no computer) just got a Monster, I already had 3.051 installed for my Max, from what you say I can't adjust both under the same CL install?

How can I dual boot as you said?

You can adjust both but it will warn about a higher version of firmware just press ignore.

Personally I would upgrade to 3.12 castle link - Supposed to be much better for both controllers and save blowing the MMM.

Wow I've been sleeping in class again.

I now have 3.12 thanks, one last thing before I connect either the MM or MMM, would I simply save the MMM settings as a separate saved file, then still have my priority settings for my MM just by going to the CL mainpage?

It will always read the settings on teh controller so never wipes anything out when swapping between controllers.

You could when you get happy with a setup save down a MM and a MMM so you can always go back to a setting you like.

Great to know, thank you.

Hate to do this, one more quickie- will the v3.12 automatically update my MM firmware, or give me a prompt?
