My new Neu MMM CRT.5 - 06.02.2008, 10:16 PM

Just sharing - I'm trying to keep myself to 2 buggies rather than trying to keep up a fleet this summer and just end up selling off rollers once I start to get a little bored with them.

Not an easy task as I still want to get a ST-RR, XT8, E-Revo (when available), a 1/8 1/7 or 1/5 on-road and maybe a LS10 or DBX.

Anyway - sticking to make the CRT.5 more and more fun to drive and much more efficient at the same time.

Latest upgrade include a Neu 1509 2Y (1820 kv) with MMM and TP eXtreme V2 5S 3850 lipo pack. Geared 15/46 with 4.1" Proline 30 series rims (about 40mph and expecting avg. Amp peaks to be around 20 - 25 Amps).

Yes I know the MMM is way overkill here, but I may want to test the setup with 6S for a little bit. Once I am sure 5S is the ticket I'll throw a fan-cooled MM so I have the MMM back for whatever I won't be able to resist for the next project.

Very nice... You DO know the MMM is way overkill don't you?

HAH - yes I do......

I actually hooked it up when I got it so that I could test it and make sure it wasn't having any of the first batch problems. No intentions of keeping it hooked up in the long run - it is just waiting for the "right" large project.......

Yeah - the front is already taking quite a beating, even with the white springs. Been reading through all the threads about the shock upgrades and that'll probably be the next thing to look into.

Got a chance to run the CRT.5 for a bit today with the Neu and 5S. Still pulling about 900 watts max - guess that's just about how much power it takes to push this truck around. Was getting that same power at 3S 4S and 5S - only now the peak amps are coming at around 45-50 Amps geared at a moderate 39-40mph.

About 15 minutes of running used up 2200mAh and this was very WOT running in a huge parking lot.

After 25 minutes of this type of running I temp'd the motor at 147*.

Nice job Vintage. I can't believe the 5s fits so well.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

Thanks - it sit's a little close to the spur so I put a few layers of duct tape over the area of the battery that could contact the spur in a crash.

Overkill? Nah, don't listen to them. My CRT.5 also has a Neu and MMM and will be running on 6s. It's still in the re-building stage though...
