Not sure which one to ask about. My friend has his heart set on one and I told him that I would inquire here for some info. It seems that quite a few people have issues w/their controllers of one reason or another.

I have been running my 16024 with the latest software (3.23) for a couple of weeks now. I can say that I have seen no problems whatsoever, after having many problems and quirks with the previous version software. I would say that it appears it is all fixed, but make sure you are using very good batteries, as that gave me the most problems in the beginning.

I've the 3.21 in my 16018, what's the difference between the 3.23 aand 3.21?

Mine with the 3.23 still woudn't run 6 poles but runs the neu and medusa fine. Braking and all other parts mentioned work well. I do not like it as much as my MMM but it's still a good esc.

I like my MGM better than my MMM (right now anyway), since the MMM died twice and is currently at CC awaiting new production.
Yeah 3.23 version is on their website, not sure what the changes are though.

I've got 4 of them two work and two don’t.
Working:
22418 on 4 & 5s no issues with anything!..
Compro 160 on 6 & 8s no issues at all with anything!.
Not working:
12012 (NEW 24hrs old) Lasted 3' before it went up in smoke today on 4s.
16016 (purchased broken) for a great price, when it's repaired it will be a killer controller!.
Overall I would still recommend the MGM, but it not perfect.

I have a brand new mgm 224.18 that I never used and just recently sent it to mgm to get the firmware update from 3.1 to 3.3 they say the whole thing will take a month for shipping both ways and you have to send them a money order for 20.00 to cover shipping.

Yes i've send mine last winter for the SW upgrade, now i've 3.21 version in it. MGM have return me the controler with the CC_03 cable to be able to download futur version directly by my computer.
But i've only ranit on 4s with mechanical brake for now.
I've an e-revo that i'am to convert with my brushless stuff in it and i'll be runing it on 6s. But on the e-revo i can't use mechanical brake.
So i hop that my 16018 will hold up fine on 6s with motor brake

Wallot, did you run 6s in one of your truck?? Seam that the max cells you're runing is 5s
And when you say that you have to resync with your radio, what do you mean by there???? Reprogramm the end point???

muggy runs on 6S without any issues (except burning couple aligns from very tall gearing :) )

Did you use the motor or a mechanical brake on your muggy?
