Patrick, i saw that tower is taking pre order for the combo at $287.99. Do you think this is a good price? Is castle planning to have the same sale like the 1st batch for this combo? Any idea when the combo will be available? Would be really great if you can shed some light..

There is a solution for this problem; make friends with a nice american fellow, and send him the money to buy you an MMM, then have him ship it 'incogneato' at a nice low price of about $20, that way it escapes customs charges and delivery/handlong fees from royalmail or parcelfarce....

I wonder if Mike will take pre-orders for the MMM/Neu combo? If he is, I'm in.

Just got this from CC, not sure what to think about it.

The purpose of this letter is to keep you informed regarding your failed Mamba Monster Max ESC, and what we are doing to remedy the situation.

The problem with the new Monster Max is that one of the components in the onboard switching regulator circuit did not meet the manufacturer’s specs. This has caused an abnormally high number to fail within the first few minutes of use; unfortunately the problem did not present itself during our initial testing. Because the failure rate is unacceptable for Castle Creations, we have had to redesign the BEC circuit on the Monster Max. This redesign is the reason for the longer than normal repair time on your Monster Max.

As soon as we receive the components for the redesigned board, we will torture test the new component to be sure it is working properly. Once we confirm the part is up to our standards, we will repair/replace your Monster Max. We apologize for the down time and any inconvenience or frustration this may be causing, but we want to make sure we have a product that meets the performance and quality expectations we pride ourselves on and that you have come to expect from us. Rest assured we will get the problem resolved and return to you a fully functioning product so you can go out and  "Make 'em Cry."

I think it is a very nice update that they have sent to everyone who sent in a MMM. They can't assume everyone scans the forums for the latest scap of information - This is an update for the masses.

I guess that we'll get an update later in the week to hear if all went well with V2 and if they might start shipping next week.

Toes crossed!

Well, CC has always been good with their support, which is a good thing for buyers like us. Good value for the money and good after sale support. Not to mention Patrick has been actively updating us :whistle

Anyway, 2nd week is coming in so we should be hearing from them soon...
