outrunner revo - 07.19.2008, 09:50 PM

i was thinking about putting in a out runner in my revo since i fryed my last motor and i cant find any other motor that would do under 80amps. thats how many amps my esc does.

i was thinking about using this one.

i would be running it on 6s lipos. (i know it says 3-5cells but i was thinking if i get one with a lower kv and just watch my temps it sould be fine plus these motors are pretty strong)

-80 amp esc
-revo nitro conversion
gearing - 38/19

The KMS line of outrunners have caught my eye before. I did purchase a 2826/04 to try on 4S. I haven't yet.

I did compare it to the AXI 2826. It appears to be a cheaper imitation of the AXI.

Give it a shot and let us know how it works out.

Hey, one thing I noticed is, the AXI cooling fan WILL fit that endbell. If you decide to go with the KMS, get a cooler. You're gonna need it.

It appears that the quality is better on the AXI motors. but AXI is a bit more expensive.

Here's an AXI motor that will work for what you are trying to do. Tower sells them.

I have a 600l motor like you were running, left over from my heli stuff.I was unsure if it would handle the load of the monster truck,I was thinking about trying it my rc8 till i get the neu.

the 600l motor worked great. i just was stupid and forgot to put holes in the body to cool it down. it was my own fault and im kicking my self in the ass for it. and having to drive a slow tamiya m-04l instead of my revo lol.
