broken spektrum antenna fix - 08.12.2008, 07:26 PM

i always see someone at the track with a spectrum antenna dangling by the wire.

simple fix is to remove the 4 screws on the bottom.
remove all the broken hinge parts and with a drop of ca push antenna in the hole. it is a perfect fit. you wont be able to fold it down anymore but who cares. Sure beats mailing it back to horizon even though they fix it for free.

Or you can contact Horizonhobbies and they will fix it for free. They did to mine at least and got it back to me in 5 days.

Would the TX antenna also work as a receiver antenna on a FASST system?

looks like the style of the plug on the end of the wire is the same so i say it will work, But.... even though it is the same style doesnt mean it is the same size. But a 2.4ghz antenna is a 2.4ghz antenna no matter.

I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.
