I got the 12" straps from Fry's Electronics. I use 8" straps for my 4s lipos.

I don't have reverse and I'm using the stock dual disk brakes. There should be pics of my brake setup on the first page. I haven't had a single problem with the brakes.

I was running it on 4s for a while since I had to go back to a MM while my MMMs were back at Castle. Then I did a complete tear down and rebuild, cleaned everything, and replaced some tweaked parts. BTW, the 3-speed is still perfect.

I'll post some new pics when I get everything back together.

Have you got those packs Velcroed together so the cant slide forward and damage the plugs?

Finally put my Savage back together last week with a few changes. This one is built for top speed/drag racing and I'm building a 2nd FLM Savage for bashing. This one's got HPI Phaltlines, HPI big bores, and a Tekno Neu 1515/1.5d powered by a MMM V2 w/CCBEC. I ran it on 4s to tune the suspension and it was doing pretty well.....until I lost control at about 50+ mph and slid sideways into a curb. Amazingly I only put a small crack on the inside of the rear wheel and bent the crap out of a rear CVD.

Pics:

Monster Max mount for quick fan replacement as well as keeping the case from popping apart. It also doubles as a flame guard for my lipos!

I notice the external bec with the MMM. I did not think you needed one. What does ccbec stand for?

Technically you aren't supposed to need a bec with the Monster, but since there have been problems with the internal bec failing, this is a preventative mod. CCBEC stands for Castle Creations BEC.

The CCBec is keeping my MMM alive I'm sure.

Why do you have the big spacer under your motor?

That looks awesome. Love the body. I'm waiting on a radar gun to arrive so I can clock mine. I didn't build it for speed but it flies.
