doesn´t the motor or esc heat a little with that 11/54 gearing?

not that i have noticed, after a full pack the motor and esc are cool enough to touch by hand for any length of time. And i can run two 5000mAH packs back to back without heat issues. i would like to gera up a bit for a little more top-end, perhaps a 13-14 tooth pinion.

that spur gear is from what car?
i currently use stock gearing with vxl and talons!!
but your car is great and you have a good radio also!
