Best choice would be a neu 1515 1y. Great truggy or mt motor for 4s. Or if castle will have their motors out soon, the 2200kv motor they offer... Basically the same motor as a 1515 1y.

Hello, I am building the same truck and have planed on the same as suggested by lincpimp but probably the Monster combo with 2200kv motor on 4s but I'll buy a 5 or 6s just for extra kick.

Welcome to the forum! The 2200kv motor on 4s or 5s would be great. I think that on 6s you would need some serious packs, like a pair of enerland 6000 25c packs... That motor will make some power on 6s, but not many batteries will be able to keep up!!!

Well for batteries so far I am going with Zippy R 4s 4800mah haven't purchased 5/6s or Monster. Waiting for combo, charger should be in following week, right now I'm testing CRT 4s Zippy R 4800mah Mamba Max, with novak 25mm fan no Bec Fiegao 6xl no heat sink. Nomadio controled 62/13 tooth spur pinion 20k 7k 3k diffs. big bore 16mm blue springs. So it has power where i like it with room for improvement is on the high end as of yet. There have not been any heat issues esc 100 max motor 100 max batt temp low.

Is that in the buggy or truggy? the 6xl, to most of us, is a useless motor, because it's too high in KV. You seem to have got a good one, but i would think a 7,8 or 9XL would be a better choice

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Stick with the 60mm motor, the 50mm will not have enough torque for a truggy.

That is the best bet that medusa sells. The neu 1515 is a longer motor, and the 1y is 2200kv. Medusa are supposed to bring out 70mm motors soon. However, the castle neu motor should be available too, and will most likely be cheaper than $150...

I ran a 1.5d in my erevo racing/beating truggies all summer.. I ended up with a slightly over geared 2.5d after a Neu rebuild mistake and will be running the 1.5d in my 8ight truggy. Those 1.5d's are WICKED fast on 4s lipo configs.. you will want min gearing in most cases, yes it's that fast.. you do need decent batteries though.. obviously get more of a work out than w/ a slower motor.

8ight-e (B&T) MMM - Hyperion Lipos
Ofna Hyper SC 10 Pro - Medusa 4800kv

The 1.5 d can put some power out, that is for sure. I like mine in the erevo, but my trakpower lipos are getting warm running it. I have a pair of fp 3700 4s packs that will fit the erevo battery compartments, and in parallel will provide some juice. And some serious runtimes!
