I like this style of conversion due to its "more balanced" configuration...the one you see here that I built has the 3906 tranny but I would suggest the 3905 tranny (with e-revo motor mount) due to its brushless ready gears...note the aluminum esc perch over the rear shocks...I can send more pics if interested in more detail
the chassis is a 3.3 that has been de-anodized and polished
My new conversion has the platinum chassis but I don't see anything different on it vs the 3.3 except length.
im pretty sure the platinum is the same length as the 3.3,my body holes still lined up after changeing from the platinum chassis to the vantage 3.3 chassis
I'm about 50 percent done with this swap over. I got a "standard" 3.3 from one of the members here. Everything is moving over quite easily - 'cept I've run into a little issue with the center shafts. I have the 3906 tranny with the Gmaxx single speed conversion. On my 2.5, I think I used two of the 2.5Revo front shafts (whichever one was the longest). I ordered the half shaft set for a new E-Revo, but they are the same dia as the driveshafts, and at least going to the rear, they wont clear the fwd corner of the bulkhead. What did you guys use for the centers?
BTW, I also picked up an E-Revo chassis to play with. Just from an initial look, there seems to be decent possibilities for aftermarket battery trays.
