Source for 5mm bore 48P pinions? - 10.23.2008, 04:57 PM

I have only found one source for this style pinion, Kershaw Designs. Their price is quite high at $20ea. Does anyone have another source?

The other option I'm contemplating is buying a pinion from sdp-si that has a bore of about 4.75mm and just hitting it with a 5mm bit on my drill press.

Any info on if someone has done this sort of thing would be appreciated.

Also, FWIW, this is to install a 1509/1Y into a T4 that is going to be converted into a J82. I plan to run 2S primarily, but probably will hit it with 3S for some speed runs or stupid fast bashing.

Because I don't know of a 32P spur that will fit on the T4 slipper clutch.

If Pete is still in business http://www.modelelectronicscorp.com/...ucts.php?tid=7

I've ordered two batches of 48 pitch x 5mm online.
