Well the first company to have the hybrid dual sensor/sensorless mode is a Chinese company. Real soon there will be a couple of companies with a 6S capable ESC with this technology.

I have been running my rs in sensored only mode but think I will have to try the hybrid mode. Yesterday while I was racing with my lrp comp the sensor wire broke. That was the end of my race. Never had it happen before but since my tekin has the option I think I will have to try it out. That way if the sensor goes it will still run.

There is another guy at my track that runs the rs and ran it without the sensor, he said he couldn't tell the difference.

For tc racing- i dont think you would see the difference as the sensros only show themselves at super low rpm.. anything above that it wouldnt make a difference

But believe me, you NEED sensored in TC, the littlest thing can, and usually WILL cost the race. 5 mins to race, and in something like the A main, the last thing I need is to cog. I dont know how long I need the sensors as I have never ran a tekin, only LRP.

But id think that your right, anything under like 5-7mph needs a sensor
