savage help - 11.13.2005, 10:07 PM

Today i bashed and was not running my MEch break or any breaks.

i was wondering why i cannot use a break on my ESC at all? i want to lock it in second i think. right now it is not even shifting anyways. Could someone help me on this issue? i need to move my battery trays up because i am breaking them right off.

The transmission (auto shifting) has a one-way bearing to allow the shifting to occur. Basically, if you had the motor's brake going, it wouldn't slow the truck down. If you locked it in 2nd gear, then you could use the motor's brakes.

OUch... Bad luck! well, you shoulda turned the steering really quickly and flip the car over. Its better then hitting a curb or something.

there are special shafts on the market for this.

It's for the 1st speed though.

Not available yet. I made it myself, and i heard people who glued it to the shaft, which is not an option imo..

You could get a 47 tooth spur and a 20T pinion.

Why don't you stay with the 2speed?

That's not something that can't be done Toby! the transmission can be made so it shifts and the battery holders can be adapted as well.

Not when you do it at full speed and cartwheel it into traffic, I did that and just barely got it out of there before it was squished.
