1515 1.5d or 1512 2d ?

i need some opinions...

i'm kinda torn as to which one to get.

there's only 100KV difference between the two and the 1515 1.5D is a little longer and weighs a little more.

the application is for an 1/8 buggy geared for silly speed on 6S.

any help is greatly appreciated.

1515 1.5d should be better...but the 1515 1y correctly geared should be extreme...the 1,5d draw a lot of amps

good point. i already have a 1Y, so maybe i'll just get another one for the buggy. i don't wanna get my esc toasty if the motor is an amp hog. thanks.

dont worry the 1,5d is not a esc killer but a amp drawer....so i have this motor...i run it on 6s lipo and wowooowowowbut my 1y still popo weelies at full trotle

i'm PM'ing with a buddy of mine in Australia, and he just smoked his mmm on 6S with his 1.5d in a ST geared much the way i like to run....i think the 1Y is a safer bet for me.

Sorry Rocket, I forgot to mention that I was only running 4S when I smoked it . It was a V2 that was only run on the new firmware.

hmmmmm.....well, with higher voltage, you ought to have smaller voltage spikes, maybe it would be ok.

at the same time, if the motor does draw a bit more amps than the 1Y, it might be bad for my batteries as i don't run awsome packs in my 6s combos (20C is about the best C rating i use).

i know my thunderpower packs could handle it, but i would either be running 4S or 8S and then i'd be over volting my motor.

my 1Y is very kind to my maxamps packs.
