6s1p a123 rustler ??motor?? - 11.13.2008, 08:41 PM

Will the rustler hold up to 6s1p a123 with a Medusa 36-50-1600?
Will it be controllable? I was wondering because that way I could use the same batts that I will be using in the savage.
What would be the runtime with 45 mph gearing?

I've never been able to get my pedes and rustys to stop shedding yokes, spurs, and diffs if I give it too much power. You might be ok for some careful speed runs if you take it easy, but before very long you will snap something in the drivetrain. Just make sure you are using as lite weight tires as possible and let that slipper whistle.

Not sure if you are interested but I have a 1600kv 60mm medusa for sale. 1600kv is a good rating for 6s a123. You will easily get 45mph out of it, could probably gear for 60!!!

I run 6s1p a123 with a 9xl in my rustler. I is very fun to "drive" I made the chassis though so I just strap in the batts.

Can I see a pic? Sounds like a pretty cool rusty. How does the drivetrain hold up on it?

I ran 6s A123 for a long time in my Rustler, hooked up to a MM and 3750kv and below motors. Loved the power, just the Jato shafts weren't to happy.

Not long ago I started with 9s A123 and it's hella fun. Waiting for the Neu motor to arrive and I'll go 10S A123 in the Rustler.

I'm running Lutach 10s ESC in the Rustler. The mamba only went up to 6S A123.
