As far as specs go and what kind is better then the other I don't have much experience there. We have all Dell's at work now and got a couple at home also. They are great as far as screen resolution. The dells have usb port in them to allow other connections. Just need to connect a main usb to the pc and they go. These can be rotated so you can have it landscape or protriate mode through the ATI software. They have connections for both digital and/or analog connections depending on you video card. Could double as a tv if you have the right setup. Just the amount of space the DON'T take up is worth the money.

You'll probably just have to pop in the cd with it to load the new drivers. Other than that, it's just a matter of plugging it in.

I have an HP 2207 had it for a year~ish. Got it from Sams club for maybe $180, unless you are a gamer which you didnt mention, the sheer size and price was perfect. Just having the bigger screen for my old 37 year old eyes makes it great. Got I dont game on the PC, have my PS3 and LCD TV for that. That Samusung looks alot faster and nicer than mine and $20 more....nice

That Samsung is nice! They are a good brand and that's an awesome price. I bought a 19" Acer 16:10 about 3 years ago and it's been a great screen so far. It's very clear, no dead or lazy pixels, no ghosting, etc.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Newegg is a good place to shop. So is Tigerdirect.

Here's a quick search of lcd screens for $100-$199.

I have the HP 2207 also. What ever you choose make sure you have enough video to run it. No sense to get a great monitor if you can't push it.

I got a beautiful Gateway HD2200 at Tiger Direct for about $200. Has been awesome to me so far. It doesn't have any USB ports or anything, but it has component in, HDMI in, DVI in, VGA in, and has an awesome touchscreen border instead of buttons ! Even though it was refurbished, it had no dead pixels or scratches or anything. FRIGGEN AWESOME MONITOR!!!

Brijar!!!

I got my monitor yesterday . It's HUGE . It'a a little bright but maybe thats because im used to a regular monitor ? & not a flat screen . I lowerd the brightness to 60% & the contrast to 40% . Youtube videos look a little differnt on the flat screen compared to the regualr screen .
