Something Different "4-Stroke LST2"

Well guys Ive got an lst2 headed my way with an axial .32 and Ive decided to avoid a brushless conversion on this one. The axial will not be used on this. I am planning on running a Magnum XL-70FS- http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHSL2&P=ML

Its one big engine and Im going to need some help on this build. I have been looking around for certain thing that would best suit it and I found these to be closest to what I want.

Ill need some very loose clutch springs or a clutch spring.
2 or 3 very heavy clutch shoes.
25t+ clutch bell.
Possibly a heavier, bigger flywheel.
Bigger mount "looking into the mgt 8.0 mount"

Im also looking into straight pipes aswell but dont know what exactly to get yet.

Something different is quite what we are accustomed to around here .

If you haven't already done so, take a good look at the MGT 8.0 clutch/flywheel/clutchbell assembly. My guess is that this will be one of the few setups that is capable of working with that engine.

have you looked into the davis diesel conversions, they are awesome in planes, sound alot better than the nitros maybe not as cool a 4stroke convo but alot easier... and no maitence hardly with the desiels and no plugs tanks last twise as long and fuel is cheap in comparison to anything else.

Forgot to ask Ryan, what does a gallon of fuel cost for a 4-stroke? Normal gas or nitro or?

Ya, if it was 2-stroke nitro I would have avoided this forum completely. Would have gotten shot down terribly.

Its cost is up their but since 4-strokes are more efficient that 2-strokes it should even out cost wise... About $9 a quart- http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXA300&P=7

If i were to do this deisel conversion its still just as pricey as the 4-stroke. Around $190 for the conversion. I think Im going to try 4-stroke first just to see how well it runs.

couldnt help but notice the motosport magazine. Cool to know other R/cers ride too.

Personally I would go with the diesel conversion as I have heard they can put down some pretty good power, and it seems to me that the 4 stroke conversion would be pretty technical, and would require lots of custom fabrication. I bet the power would be pretty nice(I ride a 450 so I know 4 strokes can kick some ass) but I dont see it being worth the trouble.

oh yeah you might want to invest in some shocks. Haha JK
