I think the survey is too long and looks like one of them damn disability application forms. A lightweight suspension system with a plush ride on each tire would be a 10 on the importance scale.

I will also ask my uncle for feedback as he has both legs gone below the knees. He has prosthetics however being mostly blind and diabetic he will not chance further injuries by using them so he stays in his wheelchair.

I'll be watching this, but I'm not going to give any options. The last thing I want is for somebody to go down the HWY doing 50-60mph screaming, "Lutach is the greatest!!".

I would be scared and imagine watching a news station live and the poor guy/gal has a big smile and maybe a license plate that reads, "RCMMHMOT". That btw means:Rc-Monster Members Helped Me On This. We would be in trouble lol. Would be great though lol.

Very interesting project idea, Shaun! This one seems totally doable, and obviously worthwhile.

If you make your frame out of aluminum you are more than likely going to need to do some welding. Time for a welder?

I'll try and get some more info tonight about his chair. It's like those 6 wheeled chairs, with the middle drive wheel like in one of your links.

problem with wheelchairs is #1 cost
#2 is when they break, you are stuck wherever that may be. Ever get a flat, bummer when your in the middle of nowhere.
#3 center of gravity is wrong on manual chairs, way to high

#4 cushions, JAY makes a great cushion, foam and gel but at 500 or more bucks your bumming when you pop one.

Want to check on expensive chairs look at sunrise medical and the quickie line. I'm sitting in a 9,000 GPV
