It finally runs well!!! - 01.03.2009, 05:41 PM

After an exhaustive conversion process, my Super RS4 finally runs, and dare I say very well. After ditching the mamba 7700 for the Medusa 36/60 3100kv, and a 3s zippy H, at half throttle, it does donuts. The Medusa motor is nice also. It tossed this car around like it is nothing. I need foams now as it does the tires like the 7700 did the tires on my 10th scale.

It sure is nice when a build comes together and puts the perma grin on your face. What's next after this successful conversion?

Gee,

Although it has been done before, I am planning on an Ofna GTP I am going to pit against the nitro runners around here. I am also going to dress out the RS4 with some custom carbon fiber parts. I found a Super RS4 carbon chassis on Ebay. It is going to be a functional beauty.

That will be cool post up some pics when you get some. I was looking at the RS4 a while back on ebay. When I get one I'd like to make it so it can handles some dirt roads. Not gravel but dirt. I read that some have converted them to Rallys. Is that what they are called Rally? I think to do it some of hte super rs4 parts were needed. I'd like to see yours so post some pics when you can.

Cool, looks pretty damn fast on the statnd. What the difference between the super rs4 and the rs4. I'm sure it better in some way. Longer? Wider? Taller?

Yeah, it's a Horse's Ass - 1965 Mustang. You didn't think I was calling myself a horse's ass did you? LOL

Carbon re-build - 01.21.2009, 12:05 AM

I finally got my carbon fiber chassis for my Super Nitro RS4. In a word, sweet. I am in the process of dis-assembly of the car. I finished cutting out the top plate and rear brace tonight. Tomorrow it is the two shock mounts and I will get it all back together. I have to pick up a new spur gear as the medusa broke a tooth on the one in the car now. Pics are coming.

It has been about six months, several flips and a few track runs and my converted Carbon Fiber Super Nitro RS4 has been running great. Time for a upgrade. I added a CC BEC so to kick the Medusa 36/60 3100KV motor from 39K to 50K going with a 4s lipo, and I added a Parma wedge body and reinforced with some aluminum angle I had lying around. I can't wait to see how it does. Pic are attached to my other thread in Project X.
