Good Point, Mr. gets. In a way, I have built several of the trucks on this site (through e-mail guidance), but a few pictures of some of my trucks will have to make their way to the site. I don't have any recent pictures, though. I guess I have to break down and clean a truck!

would rubbing alcohol be a good way to clean your truck? Because you can basically spray it everywhere on your truck, it cleans better than water, and the evaporates away. But i'm thinking it may discolor something...leo

Denatured alcahol works pretty well, actually, but it leaves a dull residue (don't know if it is a residue, but it dulls the finish). I use Simple Green, high pressure air, WD40, and more high pressure air.

What is a typical amperage between the batteries and the ESC? and between the ESC and the brushless motor?

Is this a trick question? :)
The amperage will constantly vary throughout the run. If you get 6 minutes of runtime out of a 3000mah pack, your average draw is 30 amps.

No, no trick here -- just plain simple ignorance. :C:

I did realize that the actual amperage varied throughout a run. I was mainly wondering if there was a higher draw on either side of the ESC or if it was the same throughout the entire system. Electronics really isn't my bag, so it's all witchcraftery to me.

I am sure there is slight differences, based on resistance (one solder joint may be better than another), but I doubt there would be any significant fluctuation. There certainly must some some loss in the controller, however minor it may be. There is loss in the motor as well (nothing is 100% efficient).
