Maybe I'll buy the 3S 5000mAh with 40C, but first I want to hear some things about these LiPo's..

Yeah...me too except I may buy a pair of the 2S/40C packs. TP and FP make excellent products so I can't imagine that they aren't top notch.

Cheesecake has a pair of them. we were at the track this weekend and he was switching off between the 40c TP packs and 25c NeuEnergy packs. He had a few mechanical problems with his buggy during qualifying and wound up in the c main I think. Anyway he won the C and got the bump up to the next main, swapped the batterys out and put in the 40C packs and on the first lap blipped the throttle like he got used to doing with the 25C packs and overjumped the big double by 50% longer than he needed too. He said that the 40C pack have a VERY noticable punch difference vs the 25c packs.

I'm sure he will cime in sooner or later.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Not sure if it is mentioned but the packs are 2s2p 2500mah cells. They look good, I want a 6s soft pack of them...

I am usually not a fan of 2p packs. Maybe my maxamps experiences have tainted me a bit. Seems like one cell of the pair is always weaker. I am sure tp's matching will address that issue. I would like to hear Jason's (of tp) take on pack balancing... Wonder if he agrees with apogee and their no balancing required views...

Thats an easy one. We don't just want to show the nitro guys up. We want to stomp them into the ground showing no mercy. Could you imagine going into a race with the nitro guys laughing at your battery powered toy. You go easy on them for 3/4 of the race, and then turn up the volume and blow them away asking them what radio shack they bought there vehicle at. That is what some us strive for. Not just enough power to finish the race, but enough power to drive faster than ever thought possible before with battery power in a little R/C truck. Thats why....

That sounds... AMAZING! I want them for my LST conversion, now I'm pretty sure. 2 x 3S with 40C, THAT would rock

I think your flux capacitor would.

Hey you're right! Let's see... By my calculations I'll need about 8192 of these packs to power it. That would be in a 64s128p configuration.
