what battery to use.

I am thinking about getting the medusa 36-60-2000 motor.What battery do
i need to use.I currently have a true rc 4s 14.8 4000mah at only 15c.do i need a battery with a higher c rating or higher volts to run with this motor.

What car it this going in - 4s 5000 25c would be my normal min...

it is going in a losi 8 buggy. so the battery that i have will not work?

4Ah @ 15C is only 60A. Most people shoot for at least 100A for 8th scale stuff. A 60A current rating would be ok if using 5s or better yet, 6s on a ~1700kv motor geared ~35mph or less. Using a 60A rated battery on 4s may cause the voltage to dip tripping the LVC, and/or cause the battery to work too hard.

Now, if you ran two of those in parallel, you'd be much better off IMO. 8Ah @ 15C is 120A.

Wouldn"t 2 packs be a little heavy,like arct1k said 4s 5000mah 25c or 20c would be ok.
i would like to run one battery pack,less wires to worry about.who sells a cheep lipos
money is kind of tight.
